This web page was designed for
demonstration of clinical cases of
patients that were treated with
pharmacological modulation of
Human Photosynthesis.
Six months later,  the recovery is
fully achieved.   No one signs of
gliosis are observed, and vision
remains 20/25.
Female, 58 years old.  Progressive
loss
of vision in left eye (20/50) of
seven months of evolution due to
idiopathic premacular gliosis. Before
treatment.
Same patient after 4 months with
pharmacological modulators of human
photosynthesis.  The gliosis is
n
otabilly reversed and vision
recovered (20/25)
.
Comment:  Human Photosynthesis may be defined as the capability of all human tissues to get energy
from water. We found this unexpected concept and was understood in 2002  after a longitudinal,
prospective study of three main causes of blindness initiated in 1990.    We learned that the dissociation of
water into hydrogen and oxygen is very important to the tissue's metabolism, specially for hydrogen,  since
it is an  essential energy carrier. The dissociation of water by melanin is upraised during pregnancy, in the
mother is remarkably and due to highest level of oxygen in tissue by this process, the hemoglobin  level
drop in blood.  When photosynthesis fall sharply, there is edema and hemorrhage, and when the
photosynthesis drop chronically, then fibrosis ensue.  This is the explanation of the improvement  of the
anterior patient, because gliosis is a kind of fibrosis.
This male patient, 20 years old, with traumatic hyphema, when  he come to our clinic, had 10 days of evolution,
with IOP of 40 mmHg, despite maximal medical therapy, and instead of surgery treatment  of surgical option, his
choice was pharmacological modulation of human photosynthesis. Elapsed time between  first and second
photographies were one week, and the last one was taken 5 weeks later.

Dx:  Bilateral Optic Neuritis of one week of evolution, probably
secondary to toxicity (unknown xenobiotic). Male, 45 years
old, beginning with sudden loss of central vision,  5 days of
evolution, VA 20/200  in both eyes.  In the second week of
treatment (pharmacological enhancement of human
photosynthesis), his vision was 20 /40, and in the evaluation of
the last photography, 2 months latter ; the vision was fully
recovered. Interesting, the characteristics of the retinal vessels,
were very different when the inflammation was active.
